Agriculture and horticulture

We have spent a lot of time on farms.

Most production companies have never been on a farm. We have been making this work since 2017, for peak industry bodies, growers and exporters, in every state and territory.

Why this matters

Agriculture is not a normal production job.

Making this work since 2017, in every state and territory, with a crew that understands seasons.

The window does not move.

Harvest happens when it happens. A schedule that slips two weeks in most industries means the fruit is off the tree and you are waiting twelve months.

Growers are not actors.

The best material comes from people who have never been on camera and are not going to enjoy it. Getting something real out of that morning is its own skill.

The farms are a long way apart.

Berries Australia meant more than ten farms across four states. That is a logistics problem before it is a filmmaking one.

Levy-funded work answers to growers.

A peak body is spending its members’ money. The work has to stand up to a board, and to the people whose levy paid for it.

Farm access has rules.

Biosecurity, machinery, chemical, livestock and induction protocols. We turn up knowing to ask, and we do not hold up the operation.

Weather gets a vote.

Contingency is planned in, not improvised on the day when the sky goes grey two hours from anywhere.

Market development

Getting produce in front of the people who buy it.

Our work has been featured all over the world. At trade shows, in investor meetings, and as part of opening new markets. As commercials in domestic retailers, and as social content across the major platforms.

Work as unique as our Australian conditions and our growers.

How we work

We plug into your team, from concept to delivery.

Most industry bodies are running comms with a very small team, and the last thing that team needs is another supplier to manage.

01

Discovery

A session with your team plus our own research. What the film has to achieve, which market, which buyers, and who has to sign it off.

02

Concept or pre-interview

Scripted and boarded if it is a commercial. If it is grower-led, we talk to people first, off camera, to find where the story sits.

03

Production

Planned around harvest, travel and farm access. Crew scaled to the job, whether that is two of us in a paddock or a full unit.

04

Post and delivery

Hero film, trade show cuts, social versions and stills. Subtitled and localised where the audience needs it.

The part nobody puts on a reel

Boards, growers and everyone who has to say yes.

Industry body work rarely has one approver. There is a board, there are grower representatives, there are funding conditions, and there is usually a government department somewhere in the chain.

We handle the contracts, the consultation and the sign-offs, and we keep the project moving while it happens.

Why this work suits us

We understand agriculture because we grew up on the land too.

Cane and small crops, around Bundaberg and Bargara, before you had to wear shoes and high-vis.

It means the crew turns up knowing how a farm runs, and a grower who has never been on camera is dealing with someone who can connect with them.

Start a project

Tell us the market and the season.

You do not need a brief, a script or a budget settled. Tell us which market you are trying to move, who has to be convinced and when the window is, and we will come back with what we would make, how it gets made and what it costs.

If harvest is close, say so in the first line. That usually decides everything else.
